EUROPE OF ACTIVE CITIZENS: VOLUNTEERING
To mark the first-ever Polish Presidency of the European Council and the European Year on Volunteering 2011, Group III will hold an Extraordinary Meeting and conference at the prestigious Presidential Palace in Warsaw on Friday 30 September 2011, in collaboration with the Polish Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland and the European Commission.

The EYV Tent opened its doors in Warsaw
The Polish EYV Tent located in front of the great Palace of Culture at the Defilad square in Warsaw was inaugurated on the 1st of September with the presence of high Polish officials.

European edition of the „Discover e-volunteering”
After two successful Polish editions of the Competition we have decided to organise it on a large European scale. An opportunity to it arose as the year 2011 is the European Year of Volunteering and the same time the Polish leadership in the European Parliament. From the 25th of May till the 31st of July 2011, each non-governmental organization registered in the European Union can join the Competition by submitting its projects in which it cooperates with volunteers via the Internet! It is really worth doing it! Attractive financial awards are waiting!

The AmCham CSR Committee on EYV 2011
To kick off 2011, the European Year of Volunteering, the AmCham CSR Committee held a meeting with officials from the Public Benefit Department at the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, the coordinator of the EYV program in Poland.
